Brilliant for Shakespeare in the classroom
I ordered these for Year 7 and Year 8 students, to encourage them to get up to read Shakespeare aloud at the front of the classroom - Ariel in The Tempest, and various fairies in Midsummer Night's Dream. I can't believe how successful they have been. The students are running to my classroom, demanding to read a part. In fact, they are coming up to me when I am on duty in the playground, asking if they can read 'a fairy' - and that's just the boys! I am not joking! Last lesson I was doing a basic skills activity at the start of the lesson, before going on to read 'Dream'; the class was being a bit chatty, so I told them that if they did not stop talking, I would not let them read any Shakespeare: they all stopped talking immediately! What's good about the wings themselves? They are beautiful, strong, and comfortable. They are also very large, and not too girly/pink, so the boys reading Ariel love wearing them. The elastic is strong enough to go on and off over blazers, and seems to fit all sizes, from petite 11 year old girls to adults. The wings themselves are also very durable, and have survived fairly rough handling in the classroom. Overall, can't recommend these highly enough.

Okayyyy
Lovely wings but straps are too tight so have to alter them myself. Very pretty wings

Wonderful! Not like the tacky round shaped ones you see everywhere
These are wonderful wings! Really pretty colours and detailing, they're made out of wire with the material tights are made from stretched over it making them quite light weight. They are very big though, I'm wearing mine to a nightclub and I imagine getting in the taxi and in a busy place they might be pretty annoying. Only downside really is because the (very tight) elastic goes around your arms they're too high up. I'm going to instead tie the elastic to my bra at the back so they are lower down. Also, I'm quite small (UK size 6) and when I do wear them on my arms it hurts quite a lot as it's so tight, so if you're an adult you probably won't want to wear them this way!

Different, and good for the money for occasional use
Looks good, effective worn with wings pointing up or down. When they arrived, the elastic was very tight and held the wings too high, and I thought I was going to have to modify them, but after repeatedly trying them on, the elastic loosed and they started to sit lower and looked about right. Fitted my 6yr old nicely from the start. They do need to be treated gently, though, as they are made from the stuff tights are made from, and we all know how easy it is to get a hole in them... a little clear nail varnish seems to be keeping the hole at bay at the moment...

Elastic snapped within five minutes!
I'm not a large lady but within five minutes of putting the wings on they snapped and so I was unable to wear them for the event I was attending - instead I had to carry them round all afternoon - it was a charity walk - billed as a fairy fund raiser - very disappointed - especially as I had paid a lot to get them delivered on time. - Cannot recommend them

Pretty but bad fit
Don’t sit well on the body

Pretty wings, perfect for a pixie
Purchased these wings to fulfill my role as the Christmas pixie at the children's school Christmas fair and they are ideal. They didn't cost very much, are nicely designed even if they 'flop' over my head a little. I'm sure if I build up enough flight speed, they'll be fine though... :)

Beautiful fairy wings
These fairy wings are beautiful, my 2 daughters age 7 & 10 think they are fantastic and just perfect for their fairy theme birthday party coming up. The colour is lovely and they can be worn either way up, pointing upwards they look great although are slightly heavy to stay pointing upwards, however worn pointing downwards they look just like a fairy with her wings folded down her back so my girls love them either way. They are very big so perhaps not suitable for smaller children but much more 'realistic' than the coloured children ones available.
