We had an issue with squirrels getting inside through the pipe, so I needed a reliable solution. This wire is very strong and worked perfectly alongside the mesh wire I purchased to accompany it. It held everything securely in place, and I feel much more confident that the squirrels won’t be able to get in anymore. I use two pairs of pliers – one to keep the line taut while I use the other to twist the end of the wire tightly, to secure it.It's just the right thickness to last for many, many years even when supporting heavy plants.After a couple of years it starts to dull a bit, but that just makes it blend in more with the wall or fence behind it.
