I do find number 3 is warm enough to be felt through a blanket. It’s great for joint pain, it’s a good size and is larger than a normal hot water bottle but a lot lighter. I also feel it’s safer than a normal hot water bottle as you don’t need to pour boiling water into a small spout.

A: The automatic switch-off function is there as a safety precaution. To continue using for your heat pad for longer, simply slide the control to zero, wait a short while for the item to cool, and then slide it back to your chosen temperature setting.

**Q: Can I leave my heat pad to warm up and come back to it?**
A: Whilst you can safely do this, our heat pads warm up most efficiently when they are placed against your body, as this prevents the heat from escaping. For this reason, we recommend you switch the heat pad on when you are ready to use it.

**Q: Why is my heat pad not getting hot?**
A: Unlike a hot water bottle, a heat pad is designed to warm you gradually to prevent any burning spots on skin and for maximum comfort.

I have two of these now as I find them so useful, particularly in the cold winter months. I love the fact it automatically clicks off after 90 minutes as it feels safe to fall asleep with. I also love the 3 settings as it means I can adjust it depending on what other layers I have on. I do find number 3 is warm enough to be felt through a blanket. It’s great for joint pain, it’s a good size and is larger than a normal hot water bottle but a lot lighter. I also feel it’s safer than a normal hot water bottle as you don’t need to pour boiling water into a small spout.
