Review: Great octave pedal - Great octave pedal, perfect for how I use it which is playing bass lines as part of a looper pedal setup. A note about some of the other bad reviews, these people are complaining about bad sound quality and distortion, this is not the pedals fault! This pedal can only handle a single note at a time, if you want to play chords whilst using an octave effect you need a POLYPHONIC octave pedal which are much more expensive and not what this pedal is!

If I'm curious about an effect, I'll usually pay £15-25 for a cheaper pedal to test if it's something worth shelling out for a more professional one. In this case bought the UO300, used for a couple of jams, and upgraded to the Boss OC-3 which is a far superior unit, but around six times the price!! Don't expect a £14 pedal to be all singing and dancing. Notes about the poor quality of Behringer pedals really annoy me. Unless you're jumping up and down on them they're decent pedals. I've got 5 and they all still work perfectly - the oldest one is +13 years old.

### ⭐ Unexpectedly Disappointingly Disappointing.

Having recently purchased several Behringer pedals over the last couple of months (fyi : TU-300 Tuner, ADI-21 Acoustic Amp Modeler, TO-800 Tube Overdrive & VD-400 Vintage Delay), I have been universally impressed with them all. So it came with surprised disappointment to discover that the UO300 falls so short of its siblings' standards. Despite lots of diligent experimentation, I have failed to get it to produce any useable results. If it wasn't so cheap, and I thought there was a possibility that it was simply faulty, I would send it back for an exchange. As it stands, I intend to keep it as a valuable, if economic, reminder to not only guard against preconceived quality assumptions, but also to act as a physical comparison when I eventually purchase an alternative but more costly pedal, and of which I am open to recommendations. Nope! After further, time-consuming wrangling, it remains so bad, that it simply must be faulty. The bottom two guitar strings (B & E), for example, stubbornly remain unaffected by any settings whatsoever, while G noisely flickers consistently between the two states of pre and after effect. So forget the previous high brow rationale. It's going back and, even though I do tend to make a lot of Amazon purchases, this will be my first ever return. Consequently, and with a heavy heart (I have developed a soft spot for Behringer products), the prior one-star rating is now being downgraded to zero. Drat, it won't let me. So "one star" it must remain. PS: If Behringer can confirm that the pedal is indeed faulty, I wouldn't be averse to trying another example of the same model. Heard nothing from Behringer so, following a little research, I purchased the "TC Electronic Sub n Up". Verdict? Brilliant! But it is almost four times as expensive as the UO300. There is, however, the slightly cheaper little brother (TC Electronic Sub n Up Mini) but which doesn't have the all important (to me) battery operation option.
