Bear with me as I give the full picture of my experience with this item ... I have a P7 and a P7.2. The main operational difference between the two is the switches which, , despite looking pretty similar, behave differently in the two torches. However, if you dismantle the two torches the dimensions switch plunger within end cap and are different and under normal circumstances you would not be able to use this battery cage in the P7. BUT, if you also swap over the end cap and switch, this battery cage will then fit the P7. The Amazon listing states that this battery cage is compatible with 'P7.2 and the T7.2 ONLY', so it is entirely possible that the same will apply in your case. Would a replacement work, I wondered, before considering that Β£15 was worth a go before outlaying a lot more to replace the torch completely. I'm glad I gave it a try as the part delivered appears to be a genuine Led Lenser part, fitted into the torch without issue, and I now have a fully functioning torch again.
