Reduced CoQ10 (ubiquinol) behaves in the same way, turning into ubiquinone when it carries out its role in the body. As we age, our bodies produce less and less CoQ-10. This vitamin-like substance can be found in a wide variety of foods, but organ meats such as heart, liver and kidney contain particularly high levels. I’ve only recently started taking this Solgar Megasorb CoQ-10 (100 mg), so it’s still early to comment on long-term effects, but my first impressions are positive. The softgel capsule is small and smooth, making it easy to swallow with water. It doesn’t have any noticeable taste or aftertaste, which makes it simple to incorporate into a daily supplement routine. Solgar is generally known as a reputable brand, so that was one of the reasons I chose this product. I also like that it’s labelled as non-GMO and free from gluten, wheat and dairy, which may be helpful for people with certain dietary preferences.
