**Q: is this strong enough to hold the cast iron hood on a Victorian fireplace?**
A: It depends what you mean by hold, if you mean taking weight then I would say no, this is a cement to fill gaps which can then take a high heat

**Q: Can this be used on BBQs to seal air gaps?**
A: Yesi used it to seal up my offset smoker but make sure you apply it with a wet finger and do small bits at a time or its messy and flakes off after two or three smokes

**Q: Can I use it to fix small cracks and gaps of the grout of a tiled patio?**
A: It's fire cement for Fireplace, Stove, Boilers etc. which is what we used it for . Unable to advise on tiled patio!

**Q: Can this be used to fill cracks on a back board of a real flame gas fire and be painted with heat resistant black paint**
A: I used this on a solid fuel appliance and it's very good.  In your case because you're dealing with gas, maybe it's better to ask a gas engineer in case of leaks? Best be safe.

Great product hut a bit grey. Used this to seal up around wood burning stove where over the years the original had cracked and was getting caught on cloth and pulling out of the gap Has worked really well to produce very sturdy seal but over time and heating has greyed a lot, so it doesn't match the stove anymore , which is odd... the previous stuff had lasted over a decade with no colour change and kind if blended into the metal work, while this is clearly different . Doesn't look bad, just weird. Adhesive quality was/is excellent, it was easy to use and was great value for money, so i would buy again.. bit thought people should be aware
