My expensive walking jackets are losing their water repellent quality, NikWax has not helped at all :-(** A: I have used this on two jackets and it works fine, the smell goes once dry and it dries quite quick and I have found it more effective than both grangers and nikwax water based treatments. It goers further and absorbs better. Any excess is easily wiped off with a cloth prior to drying and doesn't mar the appearance of the fabric.
