**Q: If the lampshade is unlined, what is "inside" the cotton blend exterior?**
A: The cloth is bonded to a sturdy translucent plastic. We are quite happy with the shade; the texture adds interest to the lamp and looks better than the original shade.

**Q: One person says it is opaque, another says "light shines through." Which is it, & if translucent, pls give rough idea how much light shines through. ?**
A: I'd say it's in the middle. It's not actually opaque, but it's not transparent either. Some light shines through, which is what most of us want from a lampshade.

**Q: The shade i need to replace is 6x14x21. do you think i could substitute this shade?**
A: This shade is 6x12x19.

Lamp shade fits perfect for home project. Shade is exactly as described and appears to be of good quality. Used shade for a home made lamp that included a european head from my grandsons buck. The lamp stem was originally going to be a Easton aluminum arrow. The arrow had to much flex and ended up using a steel stem. Lamp is to be my Christmas present to him. Not everyone has a lamp of their first big buck.
