I hammered nails into the holes, but you need wide headed tops to the nails. (probably slate nails may be best). They are fantastic for stopping cats etc. from climbing into the garden. **Q: Hi, I have 15 x 6ft length fence panels. How many strips would I need for a continuous length?** A: Hi, for 15x6ft fence panels you will need 60 strips plus 840 screws! best to use about half inch or metric equivalent brass screws they weather better It may be said not to fill all holes but if you don't the plastic will not lay flat. **Q: What's the best way to fix these on brick walls. Are they legal if the outside of the wall is 6' but the inside of the garden walls is less than 6'** A: The lengths come with holes to screw through. I used on wood so no probs but on brick I would use Rawlplugs. If it's your wall, the spikes are inside your demise and you use the enclosed notice advising that anti-climb spikes are in use you should be fine. That's not the opinion of a lawyer though, just someone who has used the spikes. **Q: How flexible are the strips? When the spikes first arrived they were so good I couldn't possibly think they were legal but I decided to buy them after some lengthy web search to make sure they were but I do advise you to strategically place the warning signs you receive with the spikes so as to cover all you bases if someone/thing gets hurt. Since I've placed the spikes down one side of my garden on top of the panels I haven't seen any cats what so ever although watching a couple on the first day they were up trying to negotiate it was hilarious and needless to say they haven't been back!
