The audio quality is very clear picking up the highs and lows of your voice easily while ignoring background noise considerably. If you do decide to go down the USB Soundcard route, don't give up if the first one doesn't sound any better. My first one was a dud, however a different brand sounded markedly better. **Q: can i use this headphone to record youtube videos** A: First, it's just a microphone. And secondly, yes. The microphone is pretty good though you'll want to use something like the Sabrent USB soundcard and not your onboard as the sound quality will be much better. Keep in mind that the mic is only mono (1 channel) though that'll be fine for almost any video you make. **Q: Would this work on the Bang and Olufsen (beoplay) H8 headphones?** A: Well as long as this headset is like any other normal headset on the market you Should have no problems :). Just select tur mic as input device and your headset as output. **Q: Is a 'Y' cable included in the package?** A: There is no Y cable supplied, there are two straight 3.5mm extension leads that the mic plugs into, both do the same job but two different lengths. There is also a cable sheath that can be used to adjoin your existing headphone cable to the Antlion mic Extension cable. That makes it like a single thick cable instead of two thin ones, this sheath is the only reason I went with the 5.0 over the 4.0 personally as I don't need the dual mic function but like my cables tidy. Need voice activation or noise gate software to solve this problem. ### ⭐⭐⭐ It's OK but overpriced *by F***E on 4 May 2017* I like the design and the physical aspects, the mic quality itself is decent for its size when using omni mode, uni mode is pretty poor although the isolation does work. Testing it against a lapel mic that costs a fiver shows it being slightly better.. but not by much. You're really paying for the physical side of things which is a nice design, but it's definitely over priced. Given that the uni mode isn't so good I think I would go for a mod mic 4 and save the money if I had to do it again. Incidentally you can get this working with an audio interface, this mic works off 1 - 10v so phantom power does not work. However if you buy a Pyle plmc15 mic and use the gold adapter along with a 3.5mm stereo to mono converter (total cost about 12 quid) you can use your audio interface.
