I use it to keep the chill out of the greenhouse and it is perfect for my use. Easy to install, 2 small brackets, long flex and a thermostat knob that's easy to control. Turn it from freezing point to round about 10deg, you will hear it click into action and off you go. Simple and effective but don't expect it to heat a room, it is more for background or supplementary heating. In other words, will it work as a frost stat for a very small shed?** A: That's how I've used it and Its been fine . As long as it is a very small shad though . It is only a 45w element **Q: Is this ideal for a airing cupboard use thanks in advance** A: this suitable in airing cupboard, the adjustable thermostat useful, gentle but effective heat **Q: Can the heater be switched off by the thermostat control when not needed through the summer?** A: My heater switches off when the thermostat control is turned down to minimum, I can hear the faint sound of a switch operating. However, i would not recommend it as a safe way of switching off for long periods. You should switch off at the plug point as a minimum or isolate it completely to be certain you dont experience a catastrophic switch failure. **Q: Am I missing a trick here everyone? I’ve fitted this in my small shed & it’s barely warm. I can touch it on full power & have left it for hours..?** A: After about 30 minutes on in a greenhouse with the ambient temperature 6 C the heater surface was at about 60 C. ( Too hot to touch for long ) The thermostat contol set to mid way. The only possibility is that the thermstat is set low so at the temperature in your shed it it not turning on or if so only briefly. I have two in the bedroom that are on constantly when the winter starts to bite. They do take the chill out, but you have to have them on all the time to build up a bit of warmth.
