I know it sounds strange, but trust me, it works. A friend of mine told me about this trick and it worked on a blouse I had a stain on for YEARS. It had been washed and dried so many times and I was sure it would not work... amazingly, it did work! Thank you!** A: I checked the Rit website, because of the temperature needed and the careful monitoring, a washing machine is not hot enough or consistent enough. the stove top is actually quite easy with a baking thermometer and large pasta cooking pot, hope that helps **Q: I have lace curtains that I would like to have light blue not sure what they are made of not cotton would this work for lace.?** A: If you don't know what the fabric content is, it will be difficult to dye. This dye is for synthetics, and might work for example, if the lace is 100% polyester. If it's a mix of synthetic and cotton, this will dye the synthetic bits but not the cotton. The regular dye will do for the cotton, but not synthetics. IF you are prepared to junk the curtains if you guess wrong, then go ahead.
