Cannot recommend this pedal enough. Works absolutely flawless with my Marshall DSL50 Head. With the level full, tone at about about 4.8 and drive on zero it helps a ridiculous amount in controlling the overall tone. The bass is tightened up and sounds less ‘flubby’, the overall sound is so much tighter and defined. If you play mid to high gain I couldn’t recommend this enough. I wish I had known about this pedal back in the day seeming as it’s been unchanged since around 1980/1981. Boss distortion pedals never did it for me (too much too soon on the dials - much like their chorus fx) but this is awesome and has plenty of subtle shifts in the sound. It’s priced in a zone where the upper clones live, but it’s indestructible and looks typically well finished.
