Turns out the newer revision of the AX88772 chipset in this adapter is unsupported by the Wii. However, it works perfectly for my Nintendo Switch. No more dealing with dodgy WiFi and it provides reasonable speeds for downloads. Build quality is nothing spectacular, it's portable and the plastic is decent. I'm not a fan of the glossy finish as It scratches easily.
