These blue-green lentils are not only quick to cook in 20-25 minutes but also versatile for a variety of dishes, from hearty soups to fresh salads. Sourced from small family farms, they promise a smooth texture and spicy flavor notes, ensuring every bite is both delicious and nutritious. ## Description These 100% certified organic French style lentils are a stunning blue-green mottled color. Given their smooth texture, spicy flavor notes, and ability to hold their shape when cooked, it is no wonder this variety has been the lentil-of-choice for gourmet European and American chefs for decades. While traditionally from the Puy region of south central France, these lentils are exceptionally suited to Montana, where the cool, dry environment accentuates both their beauty and flavor. The product is grown in the renowned Golden Triangle, Montana’s most productive agricultural area. Crops are grown on small family farms and marketed by a farmer-owned company specializing in unique and highly nutritious heirloom specialty grains. These lentils cook in 20-25 minutes and make exquisite soups, as well as cold or warm salads. Make enough for leftovers, because these lentils hold up well for days. Grown in USA. ## Features - French style blue-green lentils - Smooth texture and spicy flavor notes - Cook in 20-25 minutes, holding their shape - Good for soups, salads and leftovers - Certified 100% organic from small family farms in Montana ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00G8MAF2C | | Best Sellers Rank | #238,838 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ( See Top 100 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ) #1,960 in Dried Grains & Rice | | Brand | Timeless Natural Food | | Brand Name | Timeless Natural Food | | Coin Variety 1 | Lentils | | Cuisine | French cuisine | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 117 Reviews | | Item Form | Whole | | Item Package Weight | 0.91 kg | | Manufacturer | Timeless Natural Food | | Number of Items | 2 | | Number of Pieces | 2 | | Package Size Name | Pack of 2 | | Package Weight | 0.91 kg | | Protein | 11 g | | Set Name | Pack of 2 | | Size | 16 Ounce (Pack of 2) | | UPC | 683855060438 | | Unit Count | 32 Ounce | | Variety | Lentils | ## Images ![Certified 100% Organic French Style Lentils Montana Pack of 2 454 g 16 oz each - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81TLcO25quL.jpg) ![Certified 100% Organic French Style Lentils Montana Pack of 2 454 g 16 oz each - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71CgzZQ3LSL.jpg) ![Certified 100% Organic French Style Lentils Montana Pack of 2 454 g 16 oz each - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31V6rffHSLL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Are these really dark blue green instead for the usual French grey green?** A: They are mottled blue and green which many French lentils are. These are actually French STYLE lentils, grown in Montana, but they are the same as French lentils. Under French law, they must be grown in France to be called French lentils. **Q: Are these lentils certified gluten free and not produced in a facility with wheat?** A: From the Manufacturer: "We cannot certify any of our pulses (lentils, chickpeas/garbanzos, or split peas) as gluten-free because they are processed in a plant that also processes wheat." **Q: Are the lentils irradiated?** A: I do not know, but would be SHOCKED if it were the case. ## Frequently Bought Together - Certified 100% Organic French Style Lentils Montana Pack of 2 454 g 16 oz each - Certified 100% Organic Black Beluga Lentils Montana Pack of 2 454 g 16 oz each - TIMELESS NATURAL FOODS ORGANIC SPANISH BROWN LENTILS 16 OZ. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/48261783-certified-100-organic-french-style-lentils-montana-pack-of-2](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/48261783-certified-100-organic-french-style-lentils-montana-pack-of-2) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
