It will pay for itself in a couple of months. The company we bought ours from OKANE PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL were fantastic. This item is a "MUST" if you let your property out to tennants or you have elderly relatives that use immersion heating....Its Fantastic!!!Well pleased!!! This device is an electronic switch and should be treated as an ordinary manual on/off switch. Power to it from consumer unit should be protected by a 16amp MCB or fuse. An RCD will provide additional protection in case of immersion heater failure, a fuse between switch and immersion heater rated for immersion heater elements power will also provide extra protection for Electrisaver switch relay contacts **Q: Anyone know if this can be used to replace a noisy economy 7 boost timer? Thanks** A: No it cant. Its manually operated. Only 1 button to select 15 min, 30 min and 1 hour then switches off! **Q: Does it work with two element immersion heaters?** A: IT DEPENDS HOW YOUR 2 IMMERSION HEATER ARE CONFIGURED. THE LOWER ONE SHOULD BE ON THE NIGHT TIME CHEAP RATE AND THE UPPER ONE IS FOR THE DAY TIME BOOST. SO THIS IS THE ONE THAT THE E15 IS FITTED TOO.
