Since it is supposed to be washable, I had planned to wear it as an alternative to sandals. [I don't always want to show off my toes, but want my feet to be cool]. The Merlin style is a Mary Jane, with adjustable straps across the arch and also on the heel, so it should have been easy to fit to my size. However, the heel cup was about a half inch longer than my foot, and the shoe slipped up and down, even with straps adjusted. I usually wear a size 9M and had recently bought another Propet shoe in a similar style that fit okay. I can't say if this shoe will run 1/2 size large on everyone, but if you are on the borderline, you might consider sizing down. The comfort is great, if you like going barefoot. I'm not sure if this shoe has the support that can be found in a sturdier walking shoe. I would recommend, if you are sure about your size and want a comfortable, casual shoe for summer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great shoes but ... *by J***C on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on November 6, 2016* These shoes will be great for people with B or C width feet. They're beautiful, well designed, and made with good support for walking. I've been happily wearing a variety of Propet's Travel Walker II's & sandals for years & love them. I thought these would work well too because they're adjustable but it's only the back part that has adjustable straps so I have to wear them with very thick socks to take up the extra room in the middle & front parts of the shoes. When I do that, they're very comfortable so I'll get some use from them in cooler weather but won't be able to use them at all in the summer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ More comfort than I could of dreamed of. *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on March 31, 2017* These shoes allow me to put in my orthodox in the shoe and fit so comfortable. I love wearing them! I have issues of swelling in my legs and feet and if I sit to long at my desk or in my car, had off and on again issues with bone spurs in my arch so these saved me as I worked that out. Not the best for pure support for a lot of walking but for me I would not walk along way in them but I do work at a office and perfect for keeping a pair at my desk for interchanging with whatever I need to do to walk to get my car, bus or train. Look great with skirts, dresses and pants. Also because they can get loose from.
