Product description Germolene Antiseptic Cream is a non-greasy cream that rubs into the skin easily. Its antiseptic action helps prevent infection, and its soothing local anaesthetic numbs the pain helping to relieve itching and irritation of minor skin injuries. Germolene Antiseptic Cream's dual action is an effective treatment for: Minor cuts and grazes, Minor burns, Scalds, Blisters, Stings, Insect bites, Spots and chapped or rough skin Ingredients Active Ingredients (w/w): Phenol 1.2% and Chlorhexidine Digluconate 0.25% Also contains: Cetostearyl Alcohol Light Liquid Paraffin Polyoxyethylene Stearyl Ethers Colours (E124 and E110) Dimethicone Methyl Salicylate and Water Directions Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before using Germolene Antiseptic Cream. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Thoroughly clean the affected area of skin, apply the cream and rub in gently. In the case of cuts or particularly tender areas apply on a piece of white lint or gauze. For external use only. Replace cap firmly after use. If symptoms persist consult your doctor. Safety Warning Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Do not store above 25°C.

**Q: Can i use thie before getting my ears pierced?**
A: Yes it wont hurt to use it

**Q: Does this cream work for piercings?**
A: Ignore the first answer - it makes no sense, withut any justifucation at all.
Germolene is perfectly good as an antiseptic.  However, this recent version is NOT the same as it was around twenty years ago. It now contains miniscule anaesthetic and, as a result, has nothing like the same effectiveness in numbing pain.

**Q: Is the pain relief ingredient an nsaid?**
A: That word isn't on tube & I couldn't find anything about not using Pain Killers at same time. I have always used for Antiseptic use more than pain. We're outdoors people camping etc. If  scratched or bumped out side this small tube is great as a quick clean and Dab on till we can clean & or treat when able to. Children seem to be reassured by a tiny dab until we can wash and dress if needed later on. They seem reassured by the nice smell too.

**Q: How good is this at numbing?**
A: This modern version is quite poor at numbing compared with the original formulation, which was very effective.

Great stuff and excellent value for money. Easy to use and dries quickly. Will last for what I needed it for as there is enough in the tube to last a long time. There was no skin irritation whilst using this cream. Would definitely buy again. Thanks
