This was bought for the smaller stove so that rather than the heat going straight up into ceiling space of the room and then out of the door frames that have no doors only curtains, the heat would be pushed into the room from the stove top. I had seen a few of them in pictures and my friend had bought one for his small stove on his Narrow Boat to spread the heat.I am truly amazed that this fan works. No batteries, no mains, just the direct heat transmission from the top of the stove and after a few minutes it starts to spin. You don’t get a howling gale from it but it spins very fast and the air is pushed/circulated into the area where the fan is pointing. You can see in the video that I have done, that it continues to work even at low temperature! Simply take it out of the box and put it onto the top of your stove and light the fire. There is also a handy, magnetic, temperature gauge that you can stick onto the stove for an indication if the heat output.This fan increases the output of a wood stove by circulating the warm air it generates directly into the living space. By preventing heat from escaping directly into the roof, the amount of fuel required to achieve a room temperature is reduced, giving increased comfort at lower running costs. It also reduces the impact of burning solid fuel on the environment, especially as it requires no power itself.All in all, this fan is amazing and will just continue to run and run, unlike a lot of things that we buy.
