The tops fit just above the ankle area close to the narrowest part of the leg and though not totally non elastic its a gentle fit that causes me no problems at all. I don't know yet how long these will last under heavy daily walking duty but my impression is that they are well made and should stand up to wear for some time. I’ve just ordered another 4 pairs. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very comfortable, very cooling - just moults a little before the first wash (minor issue) *by J***S on 25 April 2016* These are great socks – very comfortable and whilst thick, they did actually seem to keep my feet cool on a very rigorous day’s airsoft’ing. They didn’t slip around like some of these hiking socks seem to, giving me a very good, comfortable (in the sense of feeling and temperature) fit. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was that the socks seemed to ‘moult’ a little, leaving my feet covered in black balls of fluff when the socks were removed.
