We tend to use it more than the big light (I can’t say that without thinking of Peter Kay) so really we needed to replace them with LED bulbs. It took a bit of research but these bulbs seemed to have the most positive feedback. They were relatively cheap so you do wonder how good they’ll be but I took a punt and I’ve been very pleased by the result. Almost immediate light (slightest of delays) and a solid consistent light. No flickering or sound.I’ll note that I did try the bulbs in another light fitting which is on a dimmer slider switch. There was a definite but slight flicker with the switch set to full light, worsening to a nausea inducing disco at lower light. It doesn’t advertise itself as being suitable for a dimmer controlled switch so I’m not marking it down, but I thought I’d mention it in case you thought they may be suitable. ### ⭐⭐ Still a bigger girth than halogen g4 and start flashing after a couple of minutes. *by J***L on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 December 2017* Even though they are the same width and height as a standard halogen g4, the girth of the bulb is a lot wider so may not fit in tight enclosures. But they fit my under cabinet triangle light fittings.However a downside in my set up is that these bulbs start flashing after a couple of minutes, it's probably the power supply to the LED bulbs - I won't be changing that so I've had to revert the bulbs back to halogens and won't be using these. It's a shame as I thought these would genuinely be straight swap with no power issues.
