Review: Lightweight loppers - I didn't know this make and was unsure how it would compare to the well known makes I have used before, but the reviews were good so I thought I'd give these loppers a try. My first thought was how light they are compared to my old loppers. On the one hand this is good as I'm not as strong as I was when I was younger, but on the other hand, would they bend easily? My next thought was that the head was a fair bit smaller than my old loppers. How would this affect their cutting ability? I am pleased to say I am delighted with the purchase. I used my new loppers yesterday and they sliced through quite thick branches (slightly over 1.5") with ease. The blade must be really sharp! I had to apply hardly any pressure to do the work, so I am less worried now about the handles becoming bent if too much is applied. The mechanism for extending the handles feels secure, and the loppers are still comfortable to use in the extended position. Previously my arms would become tired after a few branches, so that is a bonus when I'm cutting old wood out of the centre of a shrub or small tree, and the smaller head means I can get into tighter places. So on the basis of what I've seen so far I give them 5*. Time will tell how long they remain so efficient and how easy they are to sharpen, but at the moment I am delighted. Review: So far so good.. - Great for the price, work as described. Been using regularly for gardening jobs (for clients) & have cut back various shrubs and small to medium branches on trees; seem to handle well so far with a good 'bite', making the work fairly painless. Lighter than my previous pair which is part of the reason I ordered them, so good for higher branches where lots of cutting involved. Pleased to say that they lock properly too, which has been an issue with other loppers where handles would suddenly unlock & slide up. (There is a very slight wobble in the telescopic handles when unlocked, but this doesn't affect performance once locked.) Overall 5 stars as do the job with no bother & are good value. ## Features - [ 𝐂𝐔𝐓 π“π‡π‘πŽπ”π†π‡ 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐒 π–πˆπ“π‡ 𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 ] -These powerful loppers with durable metal anvil slice through hardy branches, woody stems and dead wood up to at least 32mm with little effort required - [ ππ”πˆπ‚πŠ π€πƒπ‰π”π’π“πŒπ„ππ“ ] - The telescopic handles extent from 630mm to 950mm with a secure quick-twist lock, so you can reach those high-up branches with ease and adjust the length based on your needs - [ 𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒 π„π…π…πŽπ‘π“ ] - The loppers have been equipped with an advanced compound action mechanism that makes cutting significantly easier, saving you time and effort - [ π’π“π€π˜ 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐏 ] - The premium SK5 carbon steel blades allow for precision cutting and are less likely to nick. I have never been asked to produce documentary evidence - deliverers take one look at me and can see that I am old enough. Occasionally, I’ve been asked for my date of birth so that they can enter it into their device. My suggestion to you is that when the delivery arrives you stand inside a window where you can be seen, and perhaps have a note ready saying β€˜self-isolating, date of birth dd/mm/yy.’ that you can show through the glass or, even better, have a driving licence or such available to show through the glass. **Q: what length do these extend to** A: Closed 64 cm extended 96cm measured from cutting tip to handle end. Plus great locking handles . **Q: What's the difference between anvil and rachet loppers** A: Anvil rely on sharpness and strength to cut through in one go whereas rachet by opening and closing the handle cut through in stages using less strength so are better for thick stems. **Q: I have just received these loppers. There are no instructions. How do i extend then** A: LOOK AT THE BOTTOM OF EACH HANDLE.THERE YOU WILL SEE TWO SMALL CATCHES HATB EACH SAY OPEN AND CLOSE. ROTATE THESEKNOS TO OPEN AND PULL OUT THAT HANDLE TO EXTEND IT.WHEN EXTENDED LOCK THE CATCH. WORKS THE SAME ON EACH HANDLE ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lightweight loppers *by H***R on 24 August 2018* I didn't know this make and was unsure how it would compare to the well known makes I have used before, but the reviews were good so I thought I'd give these loppers a try. Very easy to use and cut through what I call twogs with apparent ease... until the blade snapped. Not finding it easy to source a replacement! Update: Contacted the seller and a replacement arrived within 24 hours of my confirming my name and address. REALLY impressed by this service. (Have to admit I was not expecting such a positive and immediate response - so THANK YOU.) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/48353520-telescopic-tree-loppers-for-gardening-anvil-loppers-heavy-duty-garden](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/48353520-telescopic-tree-loppers-for-gardening-anvil-loppers-heavy-duty-garden) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
