However, as I love this particular shade I decided to 'splash' out. It is double the price I normally pay for a gel polish. It arrived, relatively slowly, as it was from USA. So tried it immediately. How disappointing. It was so gloopy, the finished nails looked awful. So I contacted the seller and this was their response ..... "Hello, Some of the highly pigmented gel polishes are usually thicker in viscosity. Please shake the bottle and use the brush to mix the formula more thoroughly to work the consistency of the gel. Try warming your polish before using it by placing the bottle in warm water before" Funnily enough it was one of the days where we had 30 degrees! Anyway I followed the advice and placed the bottle in warm water, then rolled the bottle in my hands rather thank shaking (as I know this can cause bubbles). It was indeed less gloopy and much easier to apply, but, once curing under the lamp, yuk. I can only describe the effect as 'similar to paint wrinkling' as though it was too warm! So basically I won't waste my money on Shellac again. There are so many gel polishes out there now, I am sure I can find a very similar shade to 'Bloodline'. I suppose the seller may say, this product is for professional use only! I have been doing gel manicures in my nails for over two years without any problems! The one star is for the shade only!
