I used it to cover my garage floor. If it's for protection in case of a fall etc then it might have limited benefit. Easy to cut to size . I tightened it with thin metal ties. Works perfectly for that. It was easy to cut to size, and to pierce holes into for the metal ties. It does smell of rubber, but as these stairs are outside, that was not a problem for me. As I didn't glue it, it does bend a little, but not much of an issue for us. Does the job it was meant for and looks quite good.
