All the older reviews answered 'no' but I brought this a few weeks ago and it definitely has flakey bits that fly around everywhere! It's so annoying. **Q: What is the black seed? My pigeons tend to go for those first?** A: I can't be too sure what the black seed is, but it very much like dried sunflower seed. In my experience, this is the least of the problems with this brand, it is the very small round seed which the birds reject, and it this which seems to make up the bulk of this brand. Worth the money *by T***R on 1 October 2025* I found this wild bird food to be very good value for the price, especially considering the generous amount of feed in each sack. My chickens and the wild birds absolutely love it, and I’ve been using it regularly without any issues and smells nice. The main drawback is the packaging and the content ratio, there’s noticeably more wheat compared to the other seeds, so the diversity could be improved. With winter approaching, storing the large sack until use will also be a bit of a challenge.
