Review: Eardrum destroyer - You wannna blow your ears out? Then get these speakers. I put them in my 03 Tahoe and let me tell you they can fill the entire truck by themselves. They fit perfectly and I didn’t use any of the provided speaker cover adapter but the screw provided hold it in nice and tight . They are extremely clear and loud but they do get a little distorted if you put them up high high my head unit goes to 40 and if you go that high except a little distorted sound on some bass but it shouldn’t be that loud anyway I run them at 35 and they are loud and clear. Were they worth the 160 bucks or however much they were? Yes absolutely. They look amazing sound amazing and are amazing.
Review: ALPINE guy buying JBL speakers?? - Hope they fit!!! Theses speakers are AMAZING!! I haven’t even installed them, and I’m impressed!!! This is the SAME company that makes Infinity 6.5” Infinity speakers?? I bought both of them, and the Infinity 6.5’s are going back! These GTO’s are HEAVY speakers! Thick baffleles, the surrounds that make the bass. The tweeters are large, rotate, fantastic! I’m SO sorry I bought the 6.5” Infinity speakers as well. HAVE to return them ASAP, cheap Chinese junk!!! The GTO baffles are thick and rigid, the Infinity baffles feel paper thin! The magnets are really heavy! I LOVE Focal speakers as well, but their tweeters don’t pivot like these do. These are awesome speakers! Just holding them, you KNOW you bought a quality speaker! I cannot wait to have these installed!! I’m so very impressed without even installing them yet! If that doesn’t tell you how big a fan of an ALPINE I am, then nothing will! I honestly believe these JBL GTO’s are a little superior to the comparable ALPINE 6.5” speakers, and I’ve heard them both. It was so close! But the JBL’s are more sensitive per watt, and the quality of construction is a wee bit better. That’s from an ALPINE lifelong fan! I would NEVER BUY any HU (head unit), amp, or sub, but from ALPINE, PERIOD. But these speakers are AMAZING! And even though they are not ALPINE, for the money, I believe they are the best. That’s hard for me to say, but the truth. And I WANT the best for my money. ALPINE will ALWAYS be my brand of choice, but I didn’t want to buy their separate speaker package, as I will sell this car in a few years. Just put in a Wallmart radio, replace the Honda speakers, and sell it, no problem. Put in high-end ALPINE separate speakers? (Sub/mids/tweeters?) Problem I don’t want. You cannot go wrong with these JBL GTO 6.5” speakers!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: RMS ???**
A: There is confusion on this.  The 429 (4”) rms is 35.  The 529 (5”) rms is 45 and the 629 (6”) is 60.   Unfortunately it seems all sizes are linked to the same reviews and question and answers. I read reviews and was under the impression the 4” rms was capable of handling 50 Watts but they may have been talking about the 5” speakers. I got all my info direct from the owners manual.

**Q: Would these fit in a 2012 Hyundai sonata limited 2.4l with navigation system?**
A: If they fit the turbo model they'll fit the regular model to.

**Q: Will it fit a 2003 Mini Cooper ?**
A: Yes and no. The speaker size is correct but NONE of the mounting brackets that come with it will work. I put these in my 2002 cooper S. You can custom mount them or order mini mounting brackets. I just drilled new holes for the brackets it came with.

**Q: would these speakers fit a 2007 jeep liberty?**
A: Yes. Just order the same size for the car

You wannna blow your ears out? Then get these speakers. I put them in my 03 Tahoe and let me tell you they can fill the entire truck by themselves. Hope they fit!!! Theses speakers are AMAZING!! I haven’t even installed them, and I’m impressed!!! This is the SAME company that makes Infinity 6.5” Infinity speakers?? I was able to install them on my Sequoia 2003 without too much trouble. Very good quality sound, I was really impressed. The first picture is the front driver door, and the second is the rear driver side.
