They work beautifully: writing on the page is smooth, the ink is of a high quality and doesn't bleed through to other pages (as happens with some roller ball pens). Moreover, the pens are comfortable to write with. I'm also left handed which, with some pens, means that writing is frequently smudged across the page as I write. Not so with these, the ink is fast drying and has led to a massive reduction in smudging on both the page and my hand.
