Bought for my Zelda loving son who can play the recorder, sort of, (can any ten year old actually play the recorder, in fact can anyone make it not sound terrible?) Found a really cheesy YT video of a guy playing Ed Sheeran's Shape of You on one. What a hero, and something to aim for. Anyway, as I said, it is well made, well finished, and the tone of the notes seems on point. It is not big however, and some might be surprised that it is so diminutive. I have big hands though so I'm sure most people, especially children, will be fine. Came in a nice box with some instructions and tutorials to get you started, but really, I wish I had bought one of those hand style holders for it so as to have it on display, but hey ho.

This is so well made I couldn't quite believe the price. Bought for my Zelda loving son who can play the recorder, sort of, (can any ten year old actually play the recorder, in fact can anyone make it not sound terrible?) Good for a first ocarina, it struggles to play higher notes... However!! There is a way around this! When playing it, instead of blowing in, try starting your blows by saying "two", you'll be able to force the high notes to actually play very nicely as well as adding a sharpness to your playing! I would advise going to an official maker next time you buy one- prepare to pay far more for a proper one though!
