This torch is the best - not at all difficult to wind up, to get a really strong beam = 3 strengths - low, full beam and flash. Due to it's strange shape it's particularly easy to get good grip = highly recommend, especially for the elderly. **Q: is this torch safe for an 8 year old child to use** A: I would imagine that it's safe. I wouldn't encourage children to dismantle it though. But this is a sturdy little beast, and it is bright, so do explain about not shining the beam in people's eyes.
