Used the original Fox40 in all those situations and more (rescue, high surf, pool, lake, etc.) and even more (Ski Patrol, USAR, Fire, etc). The older one was not as loud as this and performed stellar. I imagine this will work well too. Might not work underwater, but for that I used a "Storm".
