The are very sharp and cut through 2.5mm t&e with no problem. They are very good for stripping the outer insulation but you have to be careful as they are so sharp that its easy to cut straight through the cable. They are not expensive, well built and I feel these will last me quite a while. If you require 1000V VDE insulated, the Irwin Visegrip cutters have red/yellow handles. **Q: Will they cut 25mm copper cable** A: The pair that I had were poorly made and I returned them. If you are qualified to work with 25mm copper cable, you would not need to ask the question. **Q: Would these cut speaker cable 4 core** A: Yes these will easily cut anything from speaker cable up to 10mm solid cable, probably even go bigger than 10mm but comfortably cut to that size. Yesterday I was rewiring the rear tailgate and removing some dubious splicing. My old snis were awful and struggled cutting through 1mm copper cable.
