## Description

Review: Good looking solid BBQ - Good quality BBQ. Instructions are a little complex ( maybe that's just me ) but pretty easy to assemble with a little help from my wife. Took just over an hour, and it looks good. Not cooked anything yet, but should be fine. I've given it 5 stars for cleaning, it has not been used yet, but the plates look easy clean, and all shields over the burners, so should be good.
Review: This is the one to buy in this price range - Firstly, here's the TLDR version: It takes 2 hours to put together but it's not hard and it looks great when it's done. Parts are good quality, the grill/griddle plates are about as solid as they come. Gas output is satisfactory and it cooks evenly, although it is hotter towards the middle and back of the grill (which most are). Cleaning is easy but it's a good idea to line the drip tray with foil before you start and that makes it even easier. Clean it and store it properly and it shouldn't rust. Overall, great product for the price. I would recommend it. If you can be bothered, here's the detailed version: We looked at dozens of barbecues and read tonnes of reviews before making a decision. Many of the people reading this now will know that's not easy because none of them have perfect reviews! They're all similar products with similar issues and not one of them sticks out as being any better than any other. So, which do you choose? This one - at least in my experience so far - is a great choice. It came in one box with everything well wrapped and protected. The lid sections are in a nice British racing green colour and they slot together nicely. The wooden parts are really nice quality and in my opinion, it looks far better than some of the others that are all metal. Despite the instructions not being too clear in some areas, it's easy enough to put it together. That said (and as others have noted in their reviews) it will take a couple of hours to get there. It's not hard, it just takes a while. It looks great when it's done though. My only gripe with the overall construction actually is the lid. It's a minor issue but if you open the lid by grabbing the handle from the left or right ends rather than the middle, there's a bit of unwanted flex or wobble as it comes up and over. This isn't a deal-breaker by any means, it just doesn't feel quite as solid as I'd like but if you remember to open/close the lid from the middle, it's absolutely fine. Connecting the gas is easy enough and it came with a hose and regulator, which I was pleased about as some don't include those items. No cover included but we bought the one desertcart recommended and it fits just fine. If anything, it's a little big but that makes putting it on and taking it off really easy. The gas fired up on the first try and with the lid down, the temperature gauge started creeping up nicely. It was hot enough to cook on within about 10 minutes, comfortably reaching about 160-170°C in that time. I'd say the heat output and heat distribution were both satisfactory. They didn't amaze but they're fine. It's definitely hotter towards the back of the grill but ultimately, everything cooked evenly with a bit of moving around, which everyone tends to do when barbecuing anyway, right? After use, it cooled down quickly and we were able to take it apart to clean it up very easily. The grill and griddle plates (which are heavy and well-made) just took a few minutes in the sink and everything inside the grill came clean with a little soap and water. It wasn't difficult at all. I'd recommend lining the removable drip tray with tin foil before starting to cook, then it's even easier. On the whole, we're really happy with this piece of kit. Time will tell if issues such a rust start appearing but I'm hoping if it's kept clean and it's stored under a cover in the garage when not in use, it'll be OK for quite some time. Even if it only lasts a couple of years, it's not so expensive that I'll feel like I've wasted my money, especially given the amount of use I expect to get out of it over the summer.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Birthday barbecue does the trick for a party of 12
*by R***Y on 15 September 2017*

It took two hours with my 9 year old son as chief bolt holder and finder one hot afternoon to put together and be ready to cook. It looks great and the cooks well. he cooking plates are the heaviest bit but can be washed in the dishwasher. Sand in the bottom tray has made this an easy clean every now and again job. The electronic ignition works well but it best to start under the hotplate first as you can't see under the plate but you can hear if the gas has ignited. The wooden base and side pieces are great for serving cooked food and foe storing uncooked food. The top high level grill will keep cooked things warm and closing the lid means really high temp can be achieved and monitored. An issue was quickly and cheerily resolved with the manufacturers (a split piece of wooden slat). I am really happy with the barbecue. It was a birthday gift from my extended family and they loved it too. I wasn't the first person to use it as they all joined in with the cooking.
