We noticed the one rope was completely dry rotted, and the others were close behind.The second pot, I just recently transplanted a new plant too, and while doing so I noticed the ropes looked again like they were dry rotting. I tug on them, and sure enough one snapped. So, I cut the rest of them off and now it is simply sitting on a shelf.While they’re esthetically pleasing, they don’t seem to last. They are a really nice size, big enough to give my 4-inch plant some growing room but not too big to hang indoors. I put my variegated string of pearls (a very treasurer plant!) in mine and it's been perfect. The drainage hole lets me water and drain before hanging again, the hanging cord is thick and strong, and the pot itself is sturdy without being too heavy. And the three colors are so pretty!
