A needle and thread is more efficient and much cheaper and it is not really a difficult skill to master. **Q: Will this work to add a layer of cloth to a soft dog toy to patch up the rips?** A: Yes, if you use several. I have jeans which l’ve had around 10 yrs and washed many times and tabs are still in place HOWEVER if it’s a Dogs toy then it will rip it off so best sewn or if it’s a kids soft toy then depending on age of child could chew on them. We brought a caravan last year that was new to us but needed just a little updating, and I also wanted to put my stamp on it to really make it mine. I managed new curtains as this was easy for me on the sewing machine but once finished I really wanted to tackle the upholstery but knew that managing the pins for this job would be difficult for me.
