The smell isn't too bad and disappears quickly - we used it in the afternoon and by early evening there was no noticeable smell. We didn't use gloves. Best regards, Vic **Q: What is in the spray,is it Horse chestnut oil?l,by experience I've found it doesn't always work if so.** A: Hello Teresa, It says it contains Lavandin oil ? there are no other ingrediants listed on the bottle so not sure what is in ther, although there is a cirtus smell when sprayed. to be honest I have been using this in my garage and although once sprayed the spiders disapear for a few days (I think) they are soon back again so not quite what I expected, I think it is difficult to get a really good product off the shelf.Hope this helps.Andy **Q: If it’s been used then how much is left in the bottle ?** A: If you spray around doors and windows upstairs and down stairs, you will use half bottle each time. However I wouldn’t buy it again. It’s not effective for very long (bout a day) and the spiders will come back and it dose not stop large spiders they are happy to come back no matter where you spray. Real solution to getting rid of spiders is fill any gaps or cracks with filler and hoover the area the spiders like to hang out regular. I confidently sprayed all the doors and windows in the house. We didn't have too many spiders that year - maybe a handful throughout the spider season. Last year I didn't use it due to a combination of family circumstances and sheer laziness. Because of this disastrous situation we had at least two or three spiders in every room in the house all year. That was pretty annoying but my arachnophobia turned into more of an exasperated "Oh, not again!" every time I saw a new spider and my partner graciously and patiently took them one-by-one back out into the garden.
