Review: Hozelock Wall Mounted Compact Reel with 15m Hose - I bought the Hazelock Wall Mounted Reel as I had an old Hazelock Hose Reel which sat on the floor and I needed to have one which fixed to the wall go give me more floor space in my small back garden. The Hazelock Wall Mounted Reel was the perfect solution and was easy to fix to the wall (I am a 62 year old woman and had no problem at all once I have made a template of the holes to drill it was straightforward). At first I did think that the extra item which you also fix to the wall next to the reel was just a waste of time but in fact it makes the hose pipe so much smoother and easier to use so pleased I fixed it on the wall as well. I did use my other hose reel from the older Hazelock hose reel which I had and which is twice as long as the one which came with the Wall Mounted one, and would definitely recommend this product as it fits neatly on the wall and you can use the hose pipe without having to unwind it at all, which I do when, say, filling the watering can or when I just need a small amount of water for whatever reason. I found it priced very reasonably and will, hopefully, last me for a long, long time to come. I had had the other Hazelock Reel for over 7 years and apart from needing a wall mounted one it would have lasted me for many, many more years to come. I bought this reel supplied with 15m of hose and have a 'basic' green braided garden hose, inherited when we bought the house, which is 25m. I have just managed to get it all on the reel, so I think you will only really get away with a 40m maximum on this reel. Hope this helps. **Q: is the connection to the tap included?** A: A tap adaptor is supplied for a standard outside tap with a threaded spout. For a standard type tap without the thread, you will need to purchase an adaptor which has a hose clip (jubilee type) that can be tightened onto most sink style taps. This will then allow normal Hozelock connector (supplied) to be attached. The coil spring fits inside the bent end of the hose to stop it being squashed. The hook is to stop the flow of water carrying the spring away. Now here's the trick! Push the hooked end right into the plastic fitting at the centre of the reel so that it catches. I made the mistake of just hooking it on the end of the hose, which stops the hose making a good seal when you tighen the locking ring.
