**Q: Can it be used as a gate alarm the instructions say indoor only**
A: I would not. It is designed for indoor use and has no protection against the weather.

**Q: Is this item waterproof for mounting externally?**
A: Tried the shrink wrap method and it worked for a while. I have now used a condom and is 100% water proof and the solar panel still works.

**Q: Has anyone used this on the front door  inside of their house?**
A: Dont see why not Jessica, mine is on the garage door once it's set up you just press number 4 whenever you leave to arm the alarm and when you return just put your chosen code in to disarm.

**Q: How far for sensor can siren be ?**
A: As stated on the listing, the gap between the magnetic contact and the alarm should be within 10mm.
