Designed by Colin Chapman and his engineering team, the Lotus 79 dominated the 1978 World Championship, taking US driver Mario Andretti with his only F1 World Championship.

The book was delivered practically brand new. It is a great reference book for one of the most important innovations in F1 racing. The book is easy to read and understand and would be a good fit in any F1 fan's collection.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Not quite an "Owners Workshop Manual"

This is a great book if you a looking for the standard story of development and history of the Lotus 79, but putting it under the "Owners Shop Manual" makes it a very disappointing purchase. I have seen other Haynes "Manuals" that show great detail photos and drawings of all components of the subject race car. There is a lack of engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, cockpit, etc. is this book. It has great information on design, development, and history, but the "Anatomy" section is really a let down. Also, as a "Manual" the space on drivers could have been used for more detail.
