If your question is whether Quercetin with Bromelain supplements are safe for dogs in general, I researched your answer online and found it listed on several alternative medicine sites. One site with a similar product was particularly helpful. That site said that Quercetin with Bromelain was "veterinarian recommended" for dogs and cats and its capsule was 500mg Quercetin with 157 mg Bromelain. It was very specific. It said the recommended dosage of Quercetin was 8 mg per pound per day, giving one half the dosage twice per day in your pet's food. It also said this supplement should only be used as long as needed up to 12 weeks at a time, but not given to dogs with kidney disease or those who are pregnant or lactating. If in doubt, check with your own vet or do additional research. If you read the label for this brand and dose of Quercetin with Bromelain, note that TWO capsules equal 800 mg Quercetin/165 mg Bromelain. These are "vegetarian" capsules. Also, I should note here that due to my own complex, chronic health issues, my doctor is in agreement that it is beneficial for me to take 1600 mg/day everyday and I have been doing so for over 3 years. I can't say for cats and dogs, but for humans, most doctors only recommend the supplement be used daily for short-term periods rather than continuously, such as during allergy season. The primary reason for this recommendation seems to be that there are no long term studies showing whether the supplement is safe for continuous, long-term use. All I can say at this point is that daily consumption at 1600 mg/day has not lost its effectiveness over time and that I am unaware of any short-term or long-term side effects or complications, having discovered none myself. **Q: Is this better with the Bromelain than without?** A: Be very careful when using bromelain if you are sensitive to pineapple. My 140 point foot testing showed I am not sensitive to pineapple, but a friend of mine found out she's sensitive, after I sent her to my naturopath. Most of the time I wouldn't even bother going to the doctor for them. When I did he would prescribe an antibiotic and the earache would temporarily go away, but then be right back in a week or two. Finally he decided I had sinus problems and prescribed a couple of medicines that helped somewhat, but still did not eliminate my ear problem, so he advised that I should go on two more prescribed drugs and they would probably take care of the problem. . .
