**Q: Which is better regular s?team or ion steam**
A: I use steam but ion works well too.

A: Yes, the shields are included.

**Q: What is the size of the large rollers?  Thank you!**
A: The largest roller I have is the largest I've seen of the RCaruso line. They are variously labeled: "large", "jumbo" and "#2" rollers....but all seem to measure the same. Mine are 3" high, 2" across (either end) and a 5 3/8" diameter when measured around(with the sleeve on). Although named differently, all do the same amount of curl so I consider all of mine "large". For me, they create a nice, soft loose curl which lasts for days between shampooing. Best curler I've ever used and am so glad replacements are available.
