A: These are nylon strings with metal wrapping.  If your guitar requires nylon strings . But you like the steel string sound and feel . These work.  The nylon does all the stretching at the core. The steel wrap is for sound.

I know the purists might turn their snobby noses up at the idea of ball end nylon strings for fine classical guitars, but I sure love these! They are so much quicker to stay in tune than the kind you have to tie on at both ends. There's just less settling in and less stretching with these. Plus they are so much easier to install. And they're also easier to remove! The hits just keep coming. I'm also a big fan of the look of the black and gold sets on a traditional classical guitar. They look money. Buy these, trust me. No regrets.
