Review: The King of can openers???? Probably - I go through can openers like Sunday dinners, been on the hunt for a robust one for some time so decided to take the plunge and cough up a bit more dough and invest in this model! Glad I did, this thing is the Ferrari of can openers. Superb build quality, you can tell straight out the box its gonna have a long shelf life! To be honest though, it is a bit fiddley to get going, you have to position the head at the correct angle, do a quarter back turn of the handle and then start turning. Sometimes it bites out the gate, sometimes can take a few attempts to get going, however, once you have momentum, its a breeze to open cans. The big advantage is, once the lid comes off there are no sharp edges....not sure how that works, must be some kind of voodoo magic but I've tried rubbing the edge of the lid on my skin (please don't replicate, I'm a trained professional nutcase) and its as smooth as butter Highly recommend, go purchase one now and add it to your arsenal of kitchen equipment
Review: Best can opener ever - Not the cheapest but certainly the best can opener I've ever used. You need to read the instructions for the first use, which are very clear and easy to understand Lids come off with no pulling, no snagging of metal and, more importantly, no sharp edges. I have a very weak grip and painful wrists from 50 years of secretarial work and I found this opener very easy use. Would highly recommend.

**Q: Will it open a fray bentos pie tin**
A: Yes. The larger the tin the easier it works. Brilliant on tins of bwans etc However on narrower tins (like peas or small tins of soup) you need to keep turning it for ages. After the tin has rotated 6 or 7 times the lid finally detaches.

**Q: Is this opener easy to operate by a left handed person? Or can it be used in one direction only?**
A: My wife is left handed and her opinion is its the best and easiest can opener she has ever used.

**Q: Is it plastic or metal (the handle)? thanks**
A: Hard plastic, highly recommend this item. No more sharp edging on cans or lids. And easy to use too

**Q: Will it open oblong can**
A: I have only opened one oblong can (purely to answer your question) and that seemed to open fairly well though on this occasion the lid was not completely severed. It was easy enough to open the tin (without injury) and remove the contents. Most oblong cans I come across seem to have ring pulls anyway.

Absolutely BRILLIANT! I've just taken two tin openers to the tip recently and returned one . None of them could open a tin of blackcurrants and we had blackcurrant juice all over the kitchen and were left with a dangerous jagged tin. Received this tin opener yesterday and used it today for the first time on a tin of blackcurrants. WOW ! This tin opener is quite honestly amazing and a complete game changer.
