I did find it a bit awkward when I was ironing with it and I wanted to put it down. I couldn’t easily leave it to one side due to its design. I wanted to keep the hot plate away from surfaces. Perhaps it was just how I was using it. You can turn it sideways but some of the water then potentially leaks out.
