As with most ultra short throw projectors, they are designed to sit very close to the projection without too much adjustment options(in most cases they can be as close as 30cm away from the wall up to approx 1m). They are designed to sit at ground level only and most of these style projectors cannot be mounted on ceiling, which is also the case for this projector. It is so that all connections can be made at ground level making connecting everything very easy, plus keeping any installation costs down. If mounting on a ceiling is your only option, you would need to look at standard throw distance projectors which usually have a distance of 3m-5m approx. Hope this helps.
