They fit brilliantly (I always use my EU size for any shoes and go off of that - size 39) and they are SO comfortable, supportive and lightweight. These are fantastic quality leather and I'm glad I finally took a leap to get this brand name - great value for money! I had Docs years ago (er... 28 years ago) and these are just as wonderful, comfortable and fashionable as back then. These will be shoes getting worn with jeans, work trousers and dresses, as they fit the bill for smart and casual. ❤️ For this type of leather (patent leather), vaseline as polish is great for keeping the shoes in longer service, so I will be babying these shoes. Review: Tight at first but lovely - Lovely boots. Fit in the length as expected with docs they are really tight around the top of the foot where the tongue is sewn into the shoe. They can be really uncomfortable to break in but once you have they fit like a glove. I don't have the patience to break them in the traditional way so I used damp newspaper stuffed really tight under the tongue part and let it dry, they stretched nicely and they're fine after that. I did get some yellow laces with one pair but not others since. **Q: I am an adult male with size 11 feet. Assuming these are sold at women's shoe sizes, can I wear these and at what size should I use?** A: I've always assumed there was no difference between a male foot size to a female, but if there is it's a new one on me. I've worn docs for 40 yrs and never had a problem with size, I'm an 8 and my current pair came through the post and fit perfectly. They are a normal black but polish with good old boot polish and a boot brush come up lovely and shiny. **Q: i wear size 9s, i heard docs are notoriously large sometimes, should i go for 8's instead?** A: I normally wear a 9 but kept a size 8. I ordered an 8 and a 9 and sent the 9's back. Sorry for the delay - you probably already decided which size to try.
