## Overview

Scott Cornwall Decolour Hair Colour Stripper is a 9 ml ammonia-free, vegan formula with 6% peroxide designed to safely and effectively remove both natural and artificial hair colours. It features a conditioning blend to protect hair integrity while providing a controlled lift, making it ideal for creating balayage foundations or prepping for pastel shades. The kit includes professional tools for precise application and supports immediate re-colouring, catering to diverse hair textures including afro hair.

## Description

Product Description Scott Cornwall Decolour Hair Colour Stripper Cruelty Free, Vegan Friendly Formula. Removes stubborn fashion colours. Is suitable for use on afro textured hair. Kinder ‘blonde lightening’ alternative to traditional bleaches. Whether you are desiring to go to a light blonde, are looking to create a balayage foundation or simply need a lighter base to display a pastel or fashion colour, Decolour Stripper is the safest option to maintain the quality of your hair, whilst also achieving high levels of lift. Decolour Stripper’s unique de-pigmenting powder lifts hair in a steady and controlled manner, meaning only a 6% strength peroxide (included with kit) is needed to achieve optimum lift. Creates a lighter base shade, for immediate re-colouring. Can be regularly applied to dark re-growth (roots) to maintain blonde shades whilst preserving hair quality. Enables safe ‘salon stripping’ of unwanted colours at home. Remover unwanted darker shades and go lighter For precision; mix and apply Decolour Stripper using a plastic bowl and tint brush. If your hair is prone to ‘warmth’ when lightened, always recolour (stripped hair) using an ash-based hair colourant. To create white blonde results, strip to pale yellow, then tone with Scott Cornwall Colour Restore Iced Platinum. Ammonia Free, Low Peroxide Lightening Decolour Stripper’s no ammonia, low peroxide (6%) strength formula gently penetrates the hair shaft and evenly lifts away both natural and artificial pigments. Results are an even, lighter base shade with retained hair quality and condition. Therefore, hair lightened with Decolour Stripper can be immediately re-coloured using a traditional permanent or semi-permanent hair colourant, without risk of damage or unpredictable colour results. Strip back and get a fresh look! If removing stubborn fashion colour, always apply Decolour Stripper to very damp hair and work the Stripper through to the mid-lengths and ends. When using Decolour Stripper on roots only, always apply to 100% dry hair. This prevents the stripper slipping onto previously lightened areas. Stripping hair in balayage panels will achieve a more multi-tonal, sun-kissed result.

Review: Used successfully to remove Henna - My hair is naturally grey, mostly brilliant white at the front, with more peppery brown underneath, at the back. The first photo shows my hair after four years of fortnightly henna: a few weeks of Lush henna, with a bit of indigo that shows up in the ends, followed by years of supposedly pure, organic henna. That was fine until batches of it contained PPD, which I am allergic to, the reason I started using henna in the first place. After that, I started getting sensitivity to henna that actually was pure, so I had to stop using it. I read all the press which says you can't strip henna, you have to cut it off, and threatened melting hair. I thought, if I’ve got to cut it off anyway, I might as well see if I can strip it - if it’s a disaster, I’ll cut it off. I’ve used Colour B4 on dark hair in the past, which left my hair brilliant orange, so I thought I would try Scott Cornwall products this time. I did two strand tests, leaving the product on for 2 hours, the maximum active time mentioned on the boxes. The Declour Remover (red box) did nothing at all, but the Decolour Stripper (blue box) took the strand to about 2/3 of the way between 10/03 and 10/04 on the Koleston Perfect colour chart. So I tried a skin patch test and got no reaction and decided to go ahead with the Decolour Stripper. The way I did it wasn’t ideal, because I didn’t use enough at first and left it on too long. So my recommendation, if you are going to try it, is to use two boxes unless your hair is very short, and to do a strand test at the same time, so that you can see exactly what the colour has become from the strand and don’t need to mess about uncovering and checking your head. Anyway, I can’t show you exactly what my hair looked like afterwards, because I used toner on it straight away, so my after picture has a bit more yellow in it (Wella Gold toner) than it had immediately after stripping. But it gives you an idea. I wouldn’t dare use peroxide on my hair, in case it really does melt! but I’m now very happy playing about with different semi permanent toners, which give me highlights and a slightly different colour every wash. I wish I had tried it years ago!
Review: Hair colour change in one day - This product was amazing. One day I thought again to myself why not changing hair colours? Got bored of purple and blue split dye, couldn't really keep up with it and it was annoying after while. First had the wrong colour remover and read the instructions. Needed to change to this blue box here. Since it is for fashion colours like pink, blue, purple etc., I was confident it would turn out somewhat good. Darn, it totally melted all the blue and purple out of my hair. My hair was not damaged, in fact it feels soft and healthy. The icy blonde you see is from pre bleaching in order to make the blue pop. These ends are on the dry side but easily fixable with deep treatment like I did. After I applied the remover I had numerous shades of blonde, but I was not mad at it. It applied easily and no horrible smell occured. Dyed it red anyway, so the shades of blondes were more than enough for my purpose. I love that products like this exist, I really needed a change in hair colour. If you are camelion like me: get this, blonde up and apply your new colour right after. But please do not fry your hair off by changing hair colours like your underwear. I wanted a change after 1 year, which was a long time in between. I badly wanted to just apply one hair colour and be done with it. Instead of applying two colours. I need to re-7apply the red again, first dyeing is of course always there to put back pigments into the hair. Second dye will restore somewhat the bonds and the colour will be deeper. And always (please!) use a good conditioner and/or hair mask. Wait with the second dye one or two weeks. Let your hair relax a little and practice patience. Love your hair, it will love you back. And don't forget to love yourself for who you are. You are great! I am fully happy with my transition back to red and never thought I can make that happen in just one day. I recommend the colour remover (stripper).

### ⭐ Not safe for hair, NEVER BUY THIS
*by F***T on 4 February 2025*

Scott cornwall, count your days! I have pretty thick hair, but this absolutely destroyed it, i followed it exactly and was taking off red hair dye on blonde hair, but oh my god! I have never had so much hair fall out, my hair is so so thin now, i only did one round of this product but i can’t believe how much it has destroyed my hair, my hair was super healthy before and now it’s so dry and horrible, it feels like wire and it’s lost so much thickness. Edit, After i had a shower a larger amount than the photo fell out, i have multiple chunks of hair missing at about a 6 inch length, my hair was triple that, now i am lucky as i have thick hair so in certain hair styles i can hide it but i just want this to be a warning to others who might have thinner hair, Please save yourself the pain and go to a professional and do not use this product!
