However, I see the seller's reply above states it is intended to be used with the window closed so the strap will not slip across the top of the window frame. Perhaps you should contact the company for the definitive answer. I'm sure you know, it's most important to be safe. **Q: Would it be possible to hook this on the refridgerator for my service dog to be able to open the door?** A: Alicia- I bought mine 2 yrs ago to assist my elderly father in and out of my car. It never worked very well. I would be fearful of having it hooked on the frig door. Depending on how strong and type of service dog you own, it might work.
