I mostly use water based face paints and noticed that the paints were beading up at first. After applying a thin layer of regular foundation makeup, the paints applied more like they would to actual skin. You can see this a bit in the 1st picture where I missed a spot with foundation. Clean up was super easy using just makeup wipes and an oil based makeup remover for stains. You can see that I applied heavy paint, it left stains, and then cleaned up completely. I've already painted on it 5 times and used colors I know will stain. Every stain has come right off using makeup remover. I will say that it doesn't seem to take shadows very consistently. The 'skin' is like a hard silicone so maybe there's a learning curve to applying them to this 'face'. It also did not take a pencil eyeliner well at all. It looked super waxy and pretty bad. I'm not sure this would be great for beauty makeup practice.
