They fit pretty well & I expect they'll tighten up with further washes. They seem warm but I'm not totally convinced by the 80% wool claim, I suspect that there may be a higher synthetic fibre content in them than is shown as they tend to feel sweatier than the other brands. The pictures in the gallery say 80 but down below the graphic says 85...** A: I’m not sure of the wool content but +/- 5% isn’t much. Worse is the seem which niggles the toes **Q: Do these need any special wool detergent for washing?** A: No - just washed with the other washing - in a cool wash. **Q: Anyone had Kirkland wool socks, ar these similar?** A: I bought these socks along with a new pair of hiking boots. They are extremely comfortable & I now use them when out cycling too. They keep your feet nice & warm but never get "Too hot" no matter the conditions. But at £20 a pair, I can't really justify buying too many. So I'd thought I'd try these as an alternative. They're certainly not as good as the red wing socks. These ones feel a lot more synthetic despite having a very similar content mix, but having washed and worn them 5 or 6 times, they're holding up perfectly well. They're comfortable and warm and work well as an all-day boot sock.
